The video explores the memorable kiss scene between late Black actress Nichelle Nichols and white actor William Shatner from Star Trek: The Original Series. The video by Leah challenges the seeming “iconic” kiss by identifying it as a sexual assault and as an illustration of how Black women are sexually exploited within Pop Culture.

A compilation of poems and short stories by Leah
When I was 14, I was accepted into a high school with a Performing and Visual Arts program, where I learned more about the art of writing. We wrote poems, we wrote short stories and even fifteen-page stories during those four years. At the end of each year, my teacher required us to create portfolios, in the form of published books. The books below include pieces of my heart and showcase the intense framework of my mind during those pivotal high school years. With each publication, I hope you see noticeable improvement.
